Why a Robot?
When a technician can't go under, the inspection usually stops. Ours doesn't.
Under Australian Standards, a subfloor has to meet minimum clearance and safety requirements before a technician is permitted to enter it. Plenty of older Riverina homes don’t. Add standing water after wet weather, unstable soil, sharp debris, exposed wiring, snakes or a wasp nest, and a crawl that looks routine on paper becomes a job no one should be doing.
The usual outcome is a report full of “inaccessible” — which helps nobody. You still don’t know whether there’s termite activity in the bearers, whether a leaking pipe has been quietly rotting the joists for two years, or whether something has died under the back bedroom.
HADES-3 removes the trade-off. The robot enters the space, we inspect it properly, and you get answers instead of exclusions.

Subfloors hide the problems that cost the most to fix. Here’s what the inspection covers.
- Termite activity and evidence — mud leads on piers and bearers, workings in timber, damaged structural members
- Moisture and drainage issues — pooling water, poor fall, damp soil, leaking or failed plumbing
- Rodent and vermin activity — nesting, droppings, chewed insulation and wiring, dead animals and odour sources
- Structural concerns — sagging or damaged bearers and joists, failed piers, previous repairs
- Ventilation problems — blocked or insufficient vents, trapped humidity, mould and fungal decay
- Services and debris — disconnected ducting, builder's rubbish, stored timber against piers (a classic termite invitation)
How it works
How a robot inspection runs
- Book and assess - give us a call or send through your details. We'll ask a few questions about the property, the access point and what you're concerned about.
- On-site setup - our technician arrives, locates the best entry point, and inspects everything that can be safely reached by hand first.
- Deploy Luficer - the crawler goes in where a person can't. The technician drives it from outside the subfloor, watching live 4K and thermal vision on the controller and covering the space in a methodical pattern.
- Capture the evidence - stills and video are recorded throughout — both optical and thermal — including close-ups of anything of concern.
- Report and recommend - you receive a written report with the imagery, an explanation of what was found, and a clear recommendation on what to do next. If treatment or repair is needed, we'll quote it.
